Winner of 18 rounds of the WRC, Jari-Matti Latvala is the most experienced driver in the history of the WRC and has been part of the story of the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally team since its debut in 2017. In his new role as team principal, he will continue the pursuit to make ever-better cars.
Meet the 2022 GR Yaris Rally1, successor to the hugely successful Yaris WRC. Featuring Hybrid technology for the first time in top-level rallying, GR Yaris Rally1 combines the same 1.6-litre turbocharged engine from Yaris WRC with a 3.9kWh battery and a motor-generator unit (MGU) to provide drivers with over 500 PS. With regulations dictating less complex aerodynamics, a return to a mechanical gearshift and the removal of the active centre differentials, the new Rally1 era promises to push the performance of both cars and drivers to enthralling new extremes.

Tarmac
Twisty turns, unforgiving roads and durable hard tyres. Lowered suspension is a must-have for high-speed events such as Rally Estonia.
Gravel
Rutted roads, rocky tracks and a range of tyre compounds. Raised gravel suspension is crucial for hot weather events such as Rally New Zealand.
Snow
Frozen roads, snow banks and studded tyres. A loose-surface suspension setup is essential for sub-zero events such as Rally Sweden.
Developed with the experts at TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, GR Yaris brings leading motorsport technology and know-how to the road. Incorporating a powerful 1.6-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine, advanced GR-FOUR 4WD system and lightweight 3-door body, GR Yaris is born from WRC to deliver endless exhilaration on the roads you tackle.
Led by Jari-Matti Latvala, the most experienced driver in WRC history, the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team fields a four-crew line-up in its 2022 campaign, as it seeks to continue the success of multiple championship victories in 2021.
