I want to…

Power down your phone for a healthier living

Powering down our gadgetry has never been harder. Tapping and scrolling has become an essential part of life. However, constantly reacting to our phone’s pings is not good for our mental wellbeing. Wellfest is a gathering of likeminded people embracing a healthier way of living, and powering down the phone plays a big part in that.

Ditch It

From time to time it’s good to ditch the phone. Not only for our mental wellbeing but for the times when we need complete focus. Driving being the main one. Did you know you’re four times more likely to be in an accident when you use your phone behind the wheel? Even a quick glance at a notification can have serious repercussions. Your drive time should be your time, leave everything else aside. Toyota have been encouraging this with the Toyota Face it Down app, an initiative that rewards safe driving.

Facing up to the challenge

The Face It Down app uses your phone’s GPS location to track how many kilometres you have driven without picking up your phone. It also monitors whether your screen is facing down or not. So for every kilometre you travel with your phone facing down you get rewarded with points. When you’ve collected enough points you can use them to claim rewards like free coffee or parking discounts. Why not join the thousands of Irish motorists making our roads safer and download the Face It Down from the App Store or Google Play Store today.

One of a kind

Musician, athlete, author, podcaster, mental health activist - Bressie is one of a kind. That’s why we are proud to have him as a Toyota brand ambassador. Enthused by the Face It Down app from the word go Bressie has continually promoted the app on his social media channels and spearheads the national Face It Down awareness week every year.

Hear his message in person

We’re delighted to be an official partner to this year’s Wellfest on the 7th and 8th of May. We’re also proud to be the official partner for the Toyota WellMind area of the festival where Bressie will lead a discussion on mental health and share his message, ideas, and advice.

See for yourself

Toyota is Ireland’s bestselling car brand 2021 & 2022, with 98% of the cars sold this year being self-charging hybrid electric cars. Drop by our tent at Wellfest and check them out for yourself. We’ll have Toyota ambassadors on the ground to answer any questions you might have, just in case something catches your eye.

You’ll find them all at Toyota.ie in the meantime. It’s not just about our cars though, we also have some great activities planned, from sonic baths to guided mediation sessions. Plus we’ll be giving away some amazing prizes, including a stay in the fantastic Finn Lough bubble domes.

We can’t wait to see you there.
