Toyota Ireland revealed the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser to thousands of admirers on Tuesday at the National Ploughing Championships. The new Land Cruiser marries a bold blend of classic design and modern innovation with practicality and the power that enthusiasts have come to expect from the legendary powerhouse. The power is noticeable from the same 2.8L turbo diesel engine – something Land Cruiser drivers wanted to see in the latest model of the iconic vehicle – and is now paired with an eight-geared automatic transmission.
Now capable of pulling up to three and a half tonnes, just like the Toyota Hilux, it's no wonder farmers and adventurers alike have been eagerly awaiting the new Land Cruiser. Noticeable changes on the interior include the Toyota Safety Sense technologies, electric power steering, adaptive cruise control and a more spacious interior.
With fewer car brands joining the ploughing this year, Ireland’s number one car brand is using this opportunity to introduce not only the new Land Cruiser, but also the Toyota Corolla Professional Hybrid –- a vehicle tailor-made for business professionals looking to reduce their carbon footprint. The only hybrid in its commercial category, Corolla Professional is the ideal fleet choice for architects, surveyors, site managers, and salespeople, who will benefit from the low 8% BIK, reduced emissions, and better fuel efficiency compared to a conventional vehicle.
The 1.8 hybrid engine powered Corolla Professional offers the same stylish interior, excellent handling, safety systems and stability as its Corolla family stablemates. The main difference is the interior format which features two front seats and a spacious rubber lined loading area, coupled with a full height metal bulkhead. Corolla Professional’s interior also features an 8” multimedia display with DAB and Bluetooth, smartphone integration including Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and heated, height-adjustable seats with driver lumbar support.
Toyota will have a fleet of Plug-In Hybrid and Battery Electric that showcase the ongoing commitment to its multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality including:
